Poem "The Play"

The veil of night's darkness
on the razor's edge doth stand.
Giving way oh so slowly
as new luminescence reveals the land

The dawn of a new age
for each day starts afresh.
Riddled with warm colors
most resplendent in their hue.
Sweet lavender and saffron
amid the cobalt cloak.
Like music to the senses
splay down upon the earth.
All cares flee the sunrise
as Earth's curves are laid bare.
The warming smile of daylight
brings life forth from its repose.

No audience shall acclaim it
the play is too sublime
So simple and so perfect
so common is the tale
Yet so infinite a story
of life, truth, and rebirth.
