Poem "Graceful Elegance"

Blushing Vail of eventide resplendent in soft pink and rose colored remnants, which mark the end of day.

Thy waining ribbon of illumination so gently yielding way to Goddess Venus and her courtiers; who dance in the waxing darkness.

In such simple elegance the supernaturalim of the universe is revealed and all mankind can experience grace

Poem " Just A Drop of Water"

The thronging line long and looping slowly presses forward, toward its goal, while sweet
silence fills the sanctuary and pious souls, in muffled pace, seek God in clear pure water.

The water of baptism, the ratification of mans covenant to serve and honor God.
Our Mezuzah, in which God sets his word in order to remind us of his constant presence.

The unblemished mystical connection that binds mankind to God is just a drop of water,
which set upon the brow marks the baptized as his forever.

Poem "My Best Friend"

Up ahead he stops as he sniffs the dew damp air.
Then he is on his way again
He bounds and runs in fields of green
His gait is long and without stress
His world is safe and sure.
His life without a care

Then he stops to look toward me, with a patient glace,
before he jogs away. . . .

He is my sturdy guide and friend.
My ally in every task
Our bonds of friendship fastened tight
in friendship forged through the toils of life.

Poem "If Birds Could Ask Us Why"

Oh! see the birds flying to and fro and listen close for they speak in voices low.
They cry in confusion their sounds a plea.
Why?
Why?
Why?
Don't you see the beauty which abounds?
Or are you blind to sea and sky?

Oh, man answer why.

Then listen as the trees cry out in tortured pain, why can't you stop this acid rain.
Why?
Why?
Why?
Are you blind to tree and lake?
Do you hear us for goodness sake?

Please hear us now the birds call out.
Oh, if only you would hear our plea

Oh, man answer why.

Will you never listen and no longer turn away?
The answer; is for you to say.

Poem " Man's Nightmare"

The earth, our home; a crumpled burned out place
A lifeless orb suspended in the black depths of space.
Humanity has failed to heed the danger signs.

Irresponsible, greedy, and spiteful man what legacy is this?
A world devoid of life, of love and of laughter.
A world in ruin.

Man's time is over and there is no one . . . . . left to mourn
