  1. On Saturday evening , February 12th, the members of Taylor-Wilson Camp #10 SUVCW in Lynchburg, Virginia held their third annual Lincoln Birthday Dinner. The Taylor-Wilson Camp began its tradition of celebrating the life of President Lincoln in 2009, for the bicentennial of Lincoln's birth, and this was the third celebration of what the camp hopes will become a permanent event. The camp was joined by Maryland Department Commander Eugene Mortorff and his lovely wife.
The event was held at the historic Norvell-Otey house in Lynchburg. The home was built in the early 1800's and used as a hospital during the Civil War. The evening's entertainment was provided by the Victorian Singers of Liberty University, who brought the assembled company to reverent silence with their rendition of "The Empty Chair" The evening also saw toasts to President Lincoln, patriotic readings, and comments from Maryland Department Commander Mortorff
